How to Create Motion Graphics Without After Effects

Adobe Express provides browser video editing, animated elements and MP4 export. These tools reduce installation and project-file complexity, but their free and paid boundaries can change.

Build a small brand motion kit:

• one title entrance;
• one lower-third or label;
• one product or screen callout;
• one transition;
• one closing frame.

Reusing five consistent components usually creates a stronger visual identity than changing animation style in every video.

Route 3: build in DaVinci Resolve Fusion

Blackmagic Design documents Fusion as the motion-graphics and visual-effects page inside DaVinci Resolve. It uses connected nodes, masks, tracking and spline-based animation. This route is appropriate when a template cannot express the movement or when graphics must interact with footage.

Begin with a small node tree: background, Text+, transform and merge. Animate position or scale, then use the spline editor to control acceleration. Add tracking, particles or 3D only when the brief requires them.

Plan the animation before keyframing

Create three frames on paper or a slide:

1. the initial state;
2. the information state;
3. the resolved state.

Then assign time. Short-form graphics need enough time to read, not just enough time to look energetic. Keep hierarchy stable: one primary message, one supporting detail and one action or conclusion.

Check accessibility and publishing rights

Avoid rapid flashing, tiny captions and motion that makes text unreadable. Keep essential meaning visible without relying only on sound. Review automatically generated captions manually.
