About this research · Sources, method & limitations
An older proposal may still explain your service well while carrying outdated statistics or product claims. Use Acrobat’s AI Assistant to locate statements that need checking, then verify each one against current official sources before reusing the PDF.
This workflow is for freelancers and small teams reviewing client-facing material. It does not depend on in-app web search: a separate browser works for the external checks.
Establish what the document says
Section 1 of 4Start with a public or approved, non-confidential sample. Open the PDF and select AI Assistant. Adobe explains how selecting a source number opens the supporting passage. Adobe’s document guide.
Check one external claim at a time
Section 2 of 4Open the provider’s current official documentation in a browser. Find the specific capability, statistic or restriction mentioned in the proposal. Compare the same product version, subscription and region.
Open the evidence yourself
Section 3 of 4Read the cited page, its date and the surrounding explanation. A current page may describe a different plan or region.
Keep a correction log
Section 4 of 4Record the original claim, proposed replacement, supporting URL, date checked and reviewer decision. For a hypothetical capability, use confirmed, needs confirmation or remove, rather than treating a confident answer as approval.
Establish what the document says
Start with a public or approved, non-confidential sample. Open the PDF and select AI Assistant. Adobe explains how selecting a source number opens the supporting passage. Adobe’s document guide.
Check the supported file and question languages first. Adobe currently lists English and Spanish, but not Hindi or Arabic. A translated guide does not establish product-language support.
Ask in the PDF's language when you need clickable citations: Adobe does not provide attribution when the question/response language differs from the document. For an English sample PDF, use this English prompt:
Using only this document, list dated statistics, product capabilities and external claims that may need checking. Include a citation for each. Keep the original wording separate from your explanation.
Check one external claim at a time
Open the provider’s current official documentation in a browser. Find the specific capability, statistic or restriction mentioned in the proposal. Compare the same product version, subscription and region.
If your account offers a web-search option, treat its output as another lead to inspect, not verified evidence. This guide does not establish that every account has that option. Do not buy or change plans based on this guide.
Try this review question: “Does the provider’s current official documentation still support this exact claim? Record the source URL and distinguish a confirmed change from a point you could not verify.”
Keep the question narrow. An instruction to update everything makes individual corrections harder to review.
Open the evidence yourself
Read the cited page, its date and the surrounding explanation. A current page may describe a different plan or region.
Adobe warns that generated answers and attributions can be incorrect. A citation alone does not prove a claim. If the passage is missing or ambiguous, mark the claim unresolved. Adobe’s disclosure guidance.
Keep a correction log
Record the original claim, proposed replacement, supporting URL, date checked and reviewer decision. For a hypothetical capability, use confirmed, needs confirmation or remove, rather than treating a confident answer as approval.
Update the editable source only after a reviewer accepts each correction. Inspect the exported PDF for stale wording, broken links and formatting errors.
Keep client agreements separate
Your quoted service fees and agreed scope are different from external market claims. Public web information cannot establish what you agreed with a client. Check the approved proposal or contract and ask the responsible person when an agreement is unclear.
Start with one document and judge the workflow by the corrections you can verify.
Documentation checked on 16 October 2026. No hands-on test or account-specific availability check was performed. The October 7 web-search announcement appeared in indexed results but direct retrieval failed; its rollout and interface details are not treated as verified here.
